Student Code Of Conduct
Justin R
Justin R. - Featured Student Artist
Students are expected to reflect a willingness to learn, to contribute to a more effective learning environment and to display a concern for the rights and privileges of others. Administrators and teachers shall be expected to take reasonable action to maintain a proper learning environment whether in or out of the classroom.

The building principal shall maintain written rules of conduct and discipline for students in his/her building within the provisions of state and federal law and adopted Board of Education policies.

Dangerous, disruptive or unruly behavior within the school or behavior that interferes with the ability of the teacher to teach effectively will not be tolerated in the School District of Menomonee Falls. Students who interfere with the ability of the teacher to teach effectively by failing to participate in class activities, refusing to respect the teacher and peers, or continually disregarding the individual teacher and School Code of Conduct may be removed from class.

School rules and policies relating to conduct and discipline will be made available to students and parents prior to the start of the school year. Parents and students will be required to sign-off on their review and understanding of the School Code of Conduct.

The School District of Menomonee Falls shall not discriminate in standards and rules of behavior, including student harassment, or disciplinary measures, including suspensions and expulsions, on the basis of sex, race, national origin, ancestry, creed, pregnancy, marital or parental status, sexual orientation or physical, mental, emotional or learning disability. Discrimination complaints shall be processed in accordance with established procedures.

Students identified as having a disability(ies) under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) or Section 504 have individual plans which address behavior issues, specific behavioral requirements, alternative consequences, and/or procedures for addressing behavioral issues.
