The goal of the office of Curriculum and Learning is to inspire, promote, and exemplify distinguished teaching and to foster and enhance deep and lifelong learning in all areas of the school district’s educational endeavors. Its purpose includes not only the professional development of teaching staff but more general responsibilities for the support of improvement and delivery of good practice in teaching.
      • Teaching emphasizes what teachers do -
The true measure of a good teacher is how well and how deeply the students learn.  Teaching is measured on learning, not on ground covered.  Teachers need to be learners of the subject and the effectiveness of their teaching.
      • Learning emphasizes what students know and are able to do successfully
      • Assessment emphasizes how students can show they know -
Assessment results drive curriculum and instruction.
